United for a Wilder Wales: New alliance launches with a vision to restore nature, boost rural jobs, and keep young people in the countryside
Today, a movement from across Wales has launched the Welsh Rewilding Alliance. The Alliance unites local communities, landowners, and organisations through a shared vision: a wilder Wales where nature thrives, rural economies prosper, and we all have better access to wild landscapes.

Managing Grasslands for Invertebrates
On the 10th of February Tim Kaye local ecologist and director of Community Learning and Nature (CLaN) gave us a fascinating insight into the lives of many of our native invertebrates and explained how we can manage our grasslands to benefit them. Christmas Pizza Night
We held our first Christmas social on 12th December. 47 of us visited a local regenerative farm business Wild by Nature. As well as a farm business, they have a (delicious) pizza restaurant and beautiful wedding venue.
Fungi Foray

Rowlestone Mill is the beautiful and much-loved home of the Maslins who have rewilded their land with great care and thought with an emphasis on providing opportunities for nature.

The Wye Valley Wilders were delighted to welcome Toby Fountain and Rebecca Meredith from Herefordshire Wildlife Trust for a discussion of Local Wildlife Sites (LWS) and HWT’s Farm Advisory service.
Visit from Alastair Driver, Director Rewilding Britain
We were excited to welcome Alastair Driver, Director of Rewilding Britain and one of the best-known names in British conservation, for a morning with local landowners here in the Wye Valley.
Wye Valley Wilding visit to The Grange Project
Situated in a beautiful natural bowl with the farm house at its centre, the Grange Project includes a biodiverse wetland, a profusion of ancient oaks, replanting and scrape digging and some truly charismatic residents.

Nature Hub Brainstorm - Proberts Barn, May 2024
Branded a 'spaceship' in the Hereford Times, the was a lot oof local opposition when Proberts Barn was put up. An idea emerged to create a 'nature hub' around the barn and turn the eyesore into something that supported nature restoration.
