Rewild to Recover
In response to a toxic UK media narrative and rising misinformation on the impact of nature restoration and rewilding on wildfires, Rewilding Britain have launched a campaign action, aimed at Andy Burnham, with a follow on action for people to contact their MP or MS.
Rewilding Britain is also working on an evidence report for Britain which will provide solutions for building climate resilient landscapes. This will cover what we know works, where we have gaps in the evidence, and where, during transition, we will need to combine approaches eg natural grazing and manmade firebreaks in the early years of rewilding in the uplands. The objective is to present real world examples of multi-benefit land use change. Watch this space for more updates on this.
