Catalysing the restoration of nature in the Wye Valley and surrounds.
The Wye Valley and its river is one of Britain’s most special environments. We hope to help restore some of its natural beauty through increasing the number and connectivity of wild places along it.
The restoration of natural systems aims to yield environmental and public goods, including:
Increases in biodiversity, important during a period of shocking national decline
Sequestration of carbon in the vegetation and soil layers
Flood mitigation and improvement in water quality - an increasing problem along the Wye
Natural space open for people to visit and enjoy this wonderful place and enjoy the mental health benefits contact with nature has been shown to provide.
Project in focus: Court Farm, Craswall, Herefordshire
Victoria and Tim Heffer are a decade into a wonderful agroecology project, to which they have recently added 100 acres of land for rewilding.
Ready to be wilder?
If you are in the Wye Valley area and are keen to start rewilding (or have already started) or want to learn how you can help these efforts, please get in touch.
